About Flabbergast

Flabbergast is a Montreal-based electronic duo formed by Guillaume Coutu Dumont and Vincent Lemieux in 2014. Originally coming together through a collaborative project for MUTEK_rec, Flabbergast began with spontaneous live improvisations that captured the raw energy of their creative synergy. Over time, they evolved toward more deliberate, studio-crafted compositions, refining their sound into a unique blend that defies easy categorization. Their music effortlessly fuses elements from electronic, jazz, hip-hop, and contemporary genres, resulting in a versatile yet cohesive sonic identity that stands out within the contemporary electronic landscape.

Known for their innovative approach and broad musical expertise, Flabbergast has steadily built a reputation through consistent releases on various labels. In 2023, they further embraced artistic independence by launching their own imprint, Copier/Coller, which serves as a dedicated platform for their evolving creative vision. Looking ahead, the duo is set to release their highly anticipated debut full-length album, "Consolation in Constellation" (2025), through the French label Chapelle XIV. This forthcoming album promises to be a significant milestone, showcasing Flabbergast’s continued commitment to pushing musical boundaries and crafting immersive, genre-defying experiences for their audience.
