About Kele Le Roc

Kele Le Roc, born Kelly Biggs in East London in 1977, emerged as a standout figure in the vibrant British R&B scene of the 1990s. Gaining initial attention with her underground single "Let Me Know," she quickly secured a recording contract with Polydor Records. Kele Le Roc skyrocketed to mainstream success with her memorable hits "A Little Bit of Lovin'" and "My Love," both reaching number eight on the UK Singles Chart. Her soulful voice and dynamic style earned her critical acclaim, including two MOBO Awards for Best Newcomer and Best Single.

Despite the success of her early singles, her debut album, *Everybody Somebody* (1999), did not achieve the commercial impact expected, prompting her to part ways with Polydor. However, this setback did little to diminish her influence. Throughout the 2000s, Kele Le Roc remained a sought-after collaborator, notably contributing her distinctive vocals to Basement Jaxx’s Top Ten UK hit "Romeo" (2001). She also worked with prominent UK garage and dance artists such as Shy FX and Curtis Lynch Jr., showcasing her versatility across genres.

Continuing to reinvent herself, Kele Le Roc released the independent mixtape *Been There Done That* (2010) and ventured into cross-genre collaborations, including work with Los Angeles hip-hop artist Tha Vill. Her enduring presence and adaptability have solidified Kele Le Roc’s legacy as a cornerstone of UK R&B and dance music, influencing a generation of British artists.
