About Simple Plan

Formed in Montreal in 1999, Simple Plan has solidified its place as a cornerstone of pop-punk and alternative rock over more than two decades. The Canadian quintet—featuring vocalist Pierre Bouvier, drummer Chuck Comeau, and guitarists Sébastien Lefebvre and Jeff Stinco—quickly rose from local hopefuls to international stars. With over 10 million albums sold worldwide and multiple Juno Awards to their name, Simple Plan's energetic sound and relatable lyrics have resonated deeply with fans across generations.

Their career highlights include electrifying performances at major events like the 2010 Winter Olympics and the cultural impact of the viral #ImJustAKid TikTok challenge, which inspired more than 3.4 million videos from celebrities such as Hilary Duff, Ed Sheeran, Usher, and tennis legends Venus and Serena Williams. This challenge underscored the band’s enduring relevance in a constantly evolving music landscape.

In 2022, Simple Plan released *Harder Than It Looks*, their first self-released album, showcasing artistic growth while remaining true to their pop-punk roots. The album features standout tracks like “The Antidote,” “Ruin My Life” featuring Sum 41’s Deryck Whibley, “Congratulations,” and “Wake Me Up (When This Nightmare’s Over).” Reflecting on their longevity, Bouvier has acknowledged how staying relevant and authentic over two decades is “a lot harder than it looks,” a challenge the band embraces by turning their signature style into a lasting strength.
