About Chat Pile

Emerging from Oklahoma City in 2019, Chat Pile is a noise rock quartet known for transforming 21st-century existential dread into intense, chaotic soundscapes. The band consists of Stin on bass, Captain Ron on drums, Luther Manhole on guitar, and Raygun Busch as the evocative vocalist. Taking their name from ominous toxic waste piles, Chat Pile channels bleak nihilism with a visceral, raw edge that captivates listeners both within and beyond underground noise rock circles.

Their early releases, the EPs "This Dungeon Earth" and "Remove Your Skin Please," established the foundation of their unsettling yet magnetic style. The group’s breakthrough came with their 2022 full-length debut, "God’s Country," released via The Flenser. This album received widespread critical acclaim, including Pitchfork’s Best New Music honor, and earned spots on multiple year-end lists such as Rolling Stone’s Best Metal Albums and SPIN’s Best Albums of 2022.

Building on this momentum, Chat Pile expanded their reach in 2023 by supporting Lingua Ignota on her farewell tour, releasing the split EP "Brothers In Christ" with fellow noise rock band Nerver, and making a powerful international debut at the prestigious Roadburn Festival. Through their blend of self-parody and nihilistic intensity, Chat Pile have firmly established themselves as innovative and compelling voices in modern heavy music.
