About Antilopen Gang

Antilopen Gang is a groundbreaking German rap trio formed in 2009, composed of Danger Dan, Koljah, and Panik Panzer. Their roots trace back to the underground hip-hop scenes of Düsseldorf and Aachen in the early 2000s, where they initially performed politically charged and dadaist rap in youth centers, squats, and basement venues. The group was originally joined by their friend NMZS, whose tragic death in 2013 became a pivotal moment, inspiring the remaining members to channel their grief into a bold creative resurgence.

Known for their unique fusion of rap, punk, and piano, Antilopen Gang has carved out a distinctive niche in German music. They rose from relative obscurity to become one of the most electrifying live acts in Europe, captivating audiences with their unapologetically political lyrics and dynamic performances. Their breakthrough era saw multiple Top 10 albums, including a number-one release, alongside sold-out tours and appearances at major festivals.

Signed initially to JKP—the label of punk legends Die Toten Hosen—Antilopen Gang garnered critical acclaim, numerous awards, and even faced legal battles due to their outspoken stance on social issues. In 2021, they took a significant step towards independence by launching their own label, Antilopen Geldwäsche. Under this imprint, they released some of their most commercially successful work, cementing their status not only as influential artists but also as vital voices in contemporary German culture.
