About Buckethead

Buckethead, born Brian Patrick Carroll in 1969, is a remarkably versatile and prolific American guitarist and multi-instrumentalist renowned for his eclectic blend of heavy metal, progressive rock, jazz fusion, blues, and avant-garde music. Instantly recognizable by his trademark white mask and KFC bucket worn as a hat, he has crafted a unique and mysterious identity that sets him apart in the music world. Over his expansive career, Buckethead has impressively released more than 300 studio albums, showcasing his experimental approach and extraordinary technical skill.

His style seamlessly fuses intricate guitar shredding with atmospheric soundscapes, as exemplified in seminal albums like "Monsters and Robots" (1999). He gained widespread recognition through collaborations with major artists and bands, notably serving as lead guitarist for Guns N' Roses between 2000 and 2004 and contributing to their landmark album "Chinese Democracy."
