About Frankie G

Frankie G, also known by his aliases Icey and Ice Fran, is a veteran DJ and producer who has been a driving force in the electronic music scene for decades. Based in Barcelona, his distinctive sound masterfully blends hypnotic underground and progressive house with influences drawn from acid house pioneers and iconic new wave bands like Depeche Mode and The Cure. This unique fusion has earned him recognition both in the studio and on dance floors worldwide.

Throughout his illustrious career, Frankie G has collaborated with notable artists such as Francesco Farfa, Sally Oldfield, Paco Osuna, and the legendary José Padilla. His dynamic DJ sets have lit up some of the most revered venues, including Privilege Ibiza, Ku San Sebastián, Studio 54 Barcelona, and Ocho club—a hotspot where he once held a celebrated residency that cemented his reputation as a top-tier performer.

As a prolific producer, Frankie G has released tracks on influential labels like Blanco y Negro, Vale Music, and Filmax. In 1998, he showcased his entrepreneurial spirit by founding Hitsound Productions, a company that has furthered his impact on the electronic music industry. Beyond his own performance and production work, he has also made a significant mark as an artist manager, guiding prominent dance acts such as Milk Inc., Lasgo, and Ian Van Dahl.

Frankie G’s multifaceted career combines technical mastery, deep musical insight, and visionary leadership, ensuring his lasting influence across generations of electronic music enthusiasts.
