About Michelle Branch

Michelle Branch emerged as a prominent voice in early 2000s pop-rock and singer-songwriter circles after signing with Madonna’s Maverick Records at seventeen. Her debut album, "The Spirit Room" (2001), featured hit singles like "Everywhere," which won the MTV Video Music Award for Viewer's Choice, alongside fan favorites "All You Wanted" and "Goodbye to You." The album not only earned critical acclaim but also helped pave the way for a new generation of young female artists writing their own music.

Branch’s career soared further with her collaboration with Carlos Santana on the Grammy-winning track "The Game of Love" (2002), solidifying her status in the industry. Her sophomore effort, "Hotel Paper" (2003), achieved Platinum certification in the U.S. and went Gold in Australia, Canada, and Japan. The album included the standout single "Are You Happy Now?," which garnered her a Grammy nomination for Best Female Rock Performance, alongside a nomination for Best New Artist.

In 2006, Branch expanded her musical horizons by forming the country-pop duo The Wreckers with Jessica Harp. Their Gold-certified album "Stand Still, Look Pretty" blended pop and country sounds and spawned the hit "Leave the Pieces," earning Branch her fourth Grammy nomination.

After a period of exploration, Michelle Branch returned with her 2017 solo album "Hopeless Romantic," co-produced with her husband, Patrick Carney of The Black Keys. The record, noted for its lush synth-driven sound and mature songwriting, signaled her artistic growth, resonating deeply with longtime fans and new audiences alike.
