About Jamie Mcintyre

Jamie McIntyre is a rising star in Ireland’s independent folk music scene, whose journey began with busking in Galway during his university years. Writing songs since the age of 15, he steadily built a loyal fanbase through social media before gaining wider recognition when established artist Gavin James invited him to support a Paris show. McIntyre’s breakthrough came in the summer of 2024 with the viral single "Over Galway Town," which amassed over 50 million views on TikTok and 8.5 million streams on Spotify, launching him onto the global stage.

Following this success, Jamie released two acclaimed EPs: *Chapter 23* (2024), featuring popular tracks like "West is Home" and "Grá," and *For Folk’s Sake* (2025), which included fan favorite "Melbourne." These releases fueled sold-out tours across Ireland and the UK. By 2026, McIntyre was headlining sold-out shows at renowned venues such as London’s The Camden Assembly and Glasgow’s King Tut’s, while supporting artists like The 502s, Cian Ducrot, and Luke Combs on tour.
