About The Lathums

The Lathums, an indie rock band formed in 2019 in the Metropolitan Borough of Wigan, England, have swiftly established themselves as a vital force in modern British music. The quartet—vocalist and rhythm guitarist Alex Moore, lead guitarist Scott Concepcion, drummer Ryan Durrans, and bassist/backing vocalist Matty Murphy—crafts songs rich with themes of honesty, hope, and heartbreak. Their sound, characterized by Moore’s emotive vocals and Concepcion’s distinctive chiming guitar riffs, draws subtle comparisons to legendary British acts like The Smiths and Arctic Monkeys, yet The Lathums confidently carve their own unique path.

Their debut album, "How Beautiful Life Can Be" (2021), resonated widely, reaching number one on the UK charts and signaling the arrival of a fresh and authentic indie voice. Building on this success, their sophomore album, "From Nothing To A Little Bit More" (2023), also topped the charts, reinforcing their growing influence. Known for their compelling live shows, they have sold out iconic venues including Blackpool’s Empress Ballroom and Manchester’s Castlefield Bowl, and performed at major festivals such as Glastonbury and their hometown’s Robin Park stadium.

Looking forward, The Lathums are set to release their highly anticipated third album, "Matter Does Not Define" (2025), expected to deepen their artistic journey.
