About Ashley Pezzotti

Ashley Pezzotti has quickly established herself as a compelling presence within New York’s dynamic jazz scene. Drawing inspiration from legendary vocalists of jazz’s golden era, she blends rhythmic complexity, graceful phrasing, and an infectious joy that defines her distinctive sound. With Dominican roots enriching her musical voice, Pezzotti crafts original compositions in both English and Spanish, weaving them seamlessly alongside timeless jazz standards.

Despite her youth, she has already garnered widespread recognition through collaborations and tours with jazz luminaries such as Wynton Marsalis, the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, Arturo Sandoval, Dee Dee Bridgewater, and prodigy pianist Joey Alexander. Her velvety, resonant vocals are celebrated for both their technical refinement and emotional depth. Notably, JLCO trumpeter Marcus Printup has praised her as a “singer’s singer,” lauding her ability to navigate traditional repertoire and original works with equal finesse.

Pezzotti’s scat singing stands out for its instrumental virtuosity, rivaling that of seasoned horn players. Her vibrant stage presence and fresh interpretations breathe new life into both well-known and obscure jazz pieces, captivating audiences in prestigious venues worldwide. As she continues to evolve, Ashley Pezzotti remains a rising star whose artistry resonates deeply within the international jazz community.
