About Orquestra Jovem Tom Jobim

Orquestra Jovem Tom Jobim is a dynamic Brazilian ensemble dedicated to honoring and revitalizing the legacy of Antônio Carlos Jobim, the visionary composer who shaped bossa nova into an international sensation. Rooted in Brazil’s rich musical tradition, the orchestra blends classic bossa nova standards like "Garota de Ipanema" and "Chega de Saudade" with innovative arrangements that bring fresh energy to Jobim’s timeless melodies. Formed as a nurturing platform for young musicians, Orquestra Jovem Tom Jobim bridges generations by combining the delicate samba rhythms and sophisticated jazz harmonies synonymous with Jobim’s work.

Their performances stand out for intricate instrumentation and expressive vocals that capture both the poetic sensibility and rhythmic subtlety of mid-century Brazilian jazz. Beyond simply preserving tradition, the group acts as a cultural ambassador, exploring new interpretative possibilities while maintaining authentic bossa nova’s spirit. Through acclaimed albums and lively concerts, Orquestra Jovem Tom Jobim continues to introduce a new audience to Brazil’s most cherished musical heritage, keeping the maestro’s artistic vision vibrant and relevant worldwide.
