About T.M.Revolution

T.M. Revolution, the stage name of Takanori Nishikawa, is a pioneering figure in Japanese synth-rock and pop, renowned for his electrifying blend of electronica and rock. Born in 1970 in Yasu, Japan, Nishikawa began his musical journey in the early 1990s with the visual kei band Luis-Mary under the alias Haine. After leaving high school to focus on music, he reinvented himself as T.M. Revolution—short for "Takanori Makes Revolution"—in 1996, collaborating closely with producer Daisuke Asakura, a disciple of TMN’s legendary Tetsuya Komuro.

T.M. Revolution quickly rose to prominence with his debut single "Dokusai Monopolize" and soared higher with "Heart of Sword Yoake Mae," an anime anthem for *Rurouni Kenshin* that stayed on the charts for 45 weeks. His 1997 album *Restoration Level 3* reached number five on Oricon, propelled by hits like "High Pressure" and "White Breath," the latter becoming his first million-seller and number-one single. The following year, *Triple Joker* solidified his status, selling over 1.65 million copies and securing him appearances on Japan’s prestigious Kohaku Uta Gassen New Year's program.

Throughout the late 1990s and 2000s, T.M. Revolution broadened his influence, notably contributing signature tracks such as "Invoke," "Meteor," and "Ignited" to the *Gundam SEED* franchise, expanding his fanbase internationally with tours in the U.S. under Tofu Records. Beyond music, Nishikawa has also ventured into voice acting and stage, starring in productions like *Little Shop of Horrors*. In 2005, he further diversified his artistry by founding the metalcore band Abingdon Boys School. With a career spanning decades, T.M. Revolution remains an iconic force in Japanese pop culture, continuously captivating audiences with his dynamic sound and innovative spirit.
