About Faithless

Faithless is a pioneering British electronic music group formed in 1995, renowned for blending house, trance, and trip-hop elements into a distinctive sound. The core driving forces behind the act are producers Rollo Armstrong and Sister Bliss. Before Faithless, Rollo had already made a name in the dance scene with early ’90s club hits like Felix’s "Don’t You Want Me" (1992) and producing for artists such as the Pet Shop Boys and Björk. Sister Bliss, a classically trained pianist and violinist, discovered acid house in 1987 and quickly rose as one of the UK’s foremost house DJs and solo recording artists.

Joining them were vocalists Maxi Jazz, known for his spoken-word style, and Jamie Catto, completing a lineup that rapidly achieved international acclaim. Faithless broke through with iconic tracks like "Salva Mea," "Insomnia," and "Reverence," all featured on their debut album *Reverence* (1996), which defined their signature sound. Their sophomore release, *Sunday 8pm* (1998), included hits such as "God Is a DJ," reaching the UK Top Ten and solidifying their status as dance music innovators.

The band continued to evolve, with *Outrospective* (2001)—certified platinum—featuring collaborations with artists like Dido on "One Step Too Far," and *No Roots* (2004) showcasing their ability to marry energetic beats with reflective moods. After releasing *To All New Arrivals* (2006), Faithless disbanded in 2011, concluding with final shows at Brixton Academy. However, their influence endured, leading to a reunion in 2015 and the release of *Faithless 2.0*, a remix album featuring reinterpretations by EDM heavyweights including Avicii, Tiësto, and Armin van Buuren. Faithless’s lasting impact continues to resonate within the electronic music world.
