About 4minute

Formed in Seoul by Cube Entertainment in 2009, 4Minute was a trailblazing South Korean girl group known for their fierce energy and genre-blending sound. Comprising five members—Heo Ga-yoon, Jeon Ji-yoon, Kim Hyun-a, Kwon So-hyun, and Nam Ji-hyun—the group made an explosive debut with the rap-infused, synth-heavy single "Hot Issue," featured on their first EP, *For Muzik* (2009). Their early success paved the way for expanded international recognition after signing with Universal Music Group in 2010, enabling broader distribution and concert tours across Asia.

4Minute showcased versatility with subsequent releases such as the EP *Hit Your Heart* (2010) and their Japanese debut album *Diamond* (2010), which charted across multiple Asian markets. Their first full-length Korean album, *4Minutes Left* (2011), further cemented their status in the K-pop scene. Alongside group activities, member Kim Hyun-a gained solo fame with her catchy EP *Bubble Pop!* (2011), highlighting the group's individual and collective impact.

Continuing their momentum, 4Minute released notable EPs including *Volume Up* (2012), *Name Is 4Minute* (2013), and *4Minute World* (2014). Their 2015 EP *Crazy* marked a career pinnacle by topping Billboard’s World Albums chart, underscoring their global influence. Renowned for blending dance, hip-hop, and synth-pop elements, 4Minute remained an influential force in K-pop until their disbandment in 2016, leaving an enduring legacy as one of the genre’s most electrifying girl groups.
