About Of Monsters and Men

Of Monsters and Men is an Icelandic indie folk-pop quintet that formed in Reykjavík in 2010. Rising quickly from local acclaim, they achieved international recognition with their breakthrough debut album, My Head Is An Animal (2011). This platinum-certified record featured "Little Talks", a quintuple-platinum hit that became the first song by an Icelandic band to surpass one billion streams on Spotify, cementing their place in global music. Their compelling blend of atmospheric indie folk and storytelling earned them coveted appearances on Saturday Night Live and placements in major soundtracks, including The Hunger Games, The Walking Dead, and Beat Bugs.

Building on their early success, Of Monsters and Men released their sophomore album, Beneath the Skin (2015), which debuted in the Top 3 of the Billboard 200 chart. That year, their cultural presence expanded with a cameo in HBO’s acclaimed series Game of Thrones. The band further showcased their dynamic live performances by supporting acts like Florence + the Machine and headlining major festivals, including Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Firefly.

Continuing their evolution, they unveiled FEVER DREAM, featuring standout tracks such as Alligator, Wild Roses, and Wars, reinforcing their reputation for crafting evocative chamber-pop and indie folk melodies. Today, Of Monsters and Men remain a vital force in the indie music scene, known for their rich instrumentation and storytelling that resonate with audiences worldwide.
