About Trippie Redd

Trippie Redd, born Michael Lamar White IV in 1999 in Canton, Ohio, is a rising force in contemporary hip-hop known for his emotionally charged and genre-blending style. Inspired by a diverse range of artists—from T-Pain and Gucci Mane to metal icons like Slipknot and Marilyn Manson—he skillfully fuses cloud rap, emo rap, and trap with a raw punk energy. The tragic loss of his aspiring rapper brother in a car accident when Trippie was just ten fueled his determination to pursue music, honoring his sibling’s dreams.

Starting his career as a teenager in 2015, Trippie Redd initially gained viral attention with early mixtapes such as *Beast Mode* and *Awakening My InnerBeast* (2016). His breakthrough came with the mixtape series "A Love Letter to You," launching in 2017 and cracking the Billboard 200 Top 100. This set the stage for chart-topping projects like *Life’s a Trip* (2018) and *!* (2019), the latter drawing inspiration from late rapper XXXTentacion. The mixtape "A Love Letter to You 4" (2019) impressed with massive streaming success, while collaborations with artists like Lil Tecca, Chance the Rapper, Travis Scott, Young Thug, and Future broadened his mainstream appeal.

Trippie’s later albums, including *Pegasus* (2020) and *Trip at Knight* (2021), featured high-profile collaborations with Drake, Juice WRLD, and XXXTentacion, consolidating his reputation as a versatile and influential artist.
