About Maninho

Brazilian-born musician Maninho, also known as Phelipe Ferreira, has firmly established himself as one of Portugal’s most talented guitarists and emerging singer-songwriters. After relocating to Portugal several years ago, he built an impressive reputation through collaborations with prominent artists such as Mariza, Héber Marques, and Bárbara Bandeira. Initially focused on instrumental music, Maninho’s career took an unexpected turn during the pandemic when he began experimenting with singing for the first time.

This creative leap quickly transformed into a professional breakthrough. Within weeks of exploring his vocal abilities, Maninho was recording in the studio, and less than three months later, he secured a contract with Warner Music. His debut single, "Pode Tentar" (2021), became an instant hit, earning double platinum certification and dominating streaming platforms and Portuguese radio for over a year. Following this success, his next single, "Vem Pra Cá," further cemented his popularity, receiving enthusiastic acclaim during live performances.
