About -GAILU

-GAILU is a vibrant musical project that marks a compelling revival of Basque experimental music. The group unites three veteran musicians—Mikel, Okene, and Drake—whose extensive backgrounds include collaborations with influential bands such as Bap!!, Inoren Ero Ni, Anari, and Negu Gorriak. After nearly two decades of inactivity, their renewed creative synergy emerged from spirited rehearsal sessions, where playful experimentation sparked a fresh collaborative energy.

The trio’s sound is distinctive, blending vocals, drums, bass, and samplers to craft an atmospheric and minimalist yet dynamic sonic palette. This fusion reflects their underground roots and decades of musical exploration, melding diverse influences into a cohesive, forward-thinking statement. The band’s comeback is embodied in the release of their album "Begiak, Egiak Ba Ote?" (bIDEhUTS), which represents both a nostalgic nod to their past and a bold step toward new artistic horizons.
