About HorrorPops

HorrorPops is a Danish psychobilly band that emerged in 1996 from a fortuitous meeting between bassist and lead vocalist Patricia Day and guitarist Kim Nekroman in Cologne, Germany. Originally from distinct musical backgrounds—Day in indie punk and Nekroman in psychobilly—they swapped instruments and combined their talents to form a vibrant new project. The lineup soon expanded with drummer Niedermeier and guitarist Caz the Clash, both alumni of Strawberry Slaughterhouse, solidifying the band’s dynamic sound.

Known for their energetic live performances, HorrorPops incorporated go-go dancers Mille and Kamilla, who shared a connection with Day from her time working at a piercing shop. Building a loyal fanbase through relentless touring and demo recordings, the band caught the attention of Hellcat Records, releasing their breakthrough vinyl single "Ghouls" / "Psychobitches Outta Hell." Their debut album "Hell Yeah" (2004) followed on Epitaph Records, cementing their place in the punk and psychobilly scenes.

Despite lineup changes—including the replacement of Caz the Clash with K'aarrghh'sten and later tours featuring guitarist Geoff Kresge from Tiger Army—the band maintained their signature blend of pop punk and horror punk influences. Subsequent albums "Bring It On" (2005) and "Kiss Kiss Kill Kill" (2008) continued to showcase HorrorPops’ evolution. Over the years, they have become staples of the Danish punk rock community, celebrated for their infectious melodies, theatrical style, and spirited performances that keep psychobilly culture thriving.
