About Gloory Hole

Gloory Hole is a groundbreaking Mexican experimental music project renowned for its daring fusion of poetry, radical performance art, and sharp cultural critique. Founded by poet Gloria Russi, multi-instrumentalist María Alegría, and producer Efrencito Jr. (also known as LOOM PEN), the collective emerged from deeply personal origins. Following Gloria’s 2021 suicide attempt, which caused significant vocal damage, Gloory Hole transformed into a unique form of artistic rehabilitation. Through an eclectic mix of poetry, screams, and pulsating dance rhythms, the group redefined their sound and artistic purpose.

Initially formed as a duo of influencers and contemporary socialites, Gloory Hole quickly made waves by challenging music and performance conventions with their provocative and satirical approach. Their debut album, *“¡GLORIA EL CENTRO DE REHABILITACIÓN!”* (2024), sparked polarized reactions but firmly established them as one of Mexico’s most provocative and unsettling emerging acts. By 2025, Gloory Hole transcended traditional band boundaries, reimagining themselves as a “church” where irreverence, dark humor, and blasphemy are celebrated as sacred expressions.

Currently, the project is crafting their highly anticipated sophomore album, *“QUE SE JODAN SI NO PUEDEN ACEPTAR UNA BROMA,”* featuring the sharp and self-referential single “HYPER POSPONK MEXA,” which mocks both their own identity and figures within Mexico’s underground music scene. Gloory Hole’s fearless blend of theatricality and cultural confrontation continues to push the limits of experimental music in Mexico’s vibrant artistic landscape.
