About Dead Horse

Dead Horse is a seminal heavy metal band hailing from Houston, Texas, known for their innovative fusion of thrash and death metal. Founded in 1987, the band quickly distinguished themselves within the extreme metal scene by blending aggressive, pounding riffs with inventive songwriting and darkly humorous lyrics. Their debut album, "Peaceful Death & Pretty Flowers" (1991), earned critical acclaim for its raw energy and boundary-pushing sound, firmly establishing Dead Horse as a unique voice in American metal.

Throughout the 1990s, Dead Horse continued to evolve, culminating in the release of "Horsecore" (1999), which showcased their willingness to expand beyond conventional metal formulas.
