About Son Lux

Son Lux began as the solo project of Ryan Lott before evolving into a vibrant trio in 2014 with the addition of Ian Chang and Rafiq Bhatia. This transformative collaboration propelled Son Lux into a realm of genre-defying music that seamlessly fuses experimental electronic production with elements of soul, hip-hop, and improvisational soundscapes. Their distinctive approach marries emotional vulnerability with complex, meticulous arrangements, creating a unique sonic identity that continues to captivate listeners worldwide.

Over the years, Son Lux has released six critically acclaimed albums, including the evocative *Brighter Wounds* (2018) and the ambitious triple album *Tomorrows* (2021). These works showcase their pioneering spirit and the cohesive synergy between the trio’s diverse talents. Beyond studio recordings and dynamic live performances, Son Lux has made a significant mark in film scoring. Their score for A24’s Best Picture winner *Everything Everywhere All at Once* (2022) earned multiple accolades, including Academy Award® and BAFTA nominations. This groundbreaking soundtrack featured collaborations with acclaimed artists such as Mitski, David Byrne, Randy Newman, and Moses Sumney, highlighting Son Lux’s ability to blend diverse voices into a compelling musical narrative.

Continuing to expand their cinematic footprint, Son Lux is set to compose the score for Marvel Studios’ upcoming *Thunderbolts* (2025), cementing their role as innovative storytellers who push the boundaries of modern music while engaging audiences across multiple platforms.
