About Cali y El Dandee

Colombian sibling duo Cali y El Dandee, made up of brothers Alejandro (Cali) and Mauricio Rengifo (El Dandee), have become prominent figures in Latin pop by pioneering a distinctive sound they call "flybot"—a vibrant fusion of hip-hop, pop, dance, and reggaeton. Since launching their career in 2009, they have steadily built a strong presence across Spain, Mexico, and the United States through a series of successful singles and albums.

Their breakthrough arrived with the 2012 double platinum hit "Yo Te Esperaré" from their debut album *3 A.M.*, which found massive popularity in Spain. That same year, their collaboration with David Bisbal on "No Hay Dos Sin Tres" was honored as the Spanish national soccer team’s anthem for Euro 2012. Cali y El Dandee pushed their success further with the 2015 chart-topping single "Por Fin Te Encontré," featuring Juan Magán and Sebastián Yatra; the track earned five-times platinum status and amassed over 830 million views.

Not just performers, the duo also gained recognition behind the scenes, notably co-producing the global phenomenon "Despacito" with Luis Fonsi in 2017. They maintained their creative momentum with hits like "Lumbra" featuring Shaggy and gold-certified tracks such as "Locura" with Yatra and "Tequila Sunrise" with Rauw Alejandro. Their 2020 album *Colegio* reinforced their innovation in Latin music, spawning multiple successful singles. Recent years saw continued collaborations with artists like Beret, Mau y Ricky, and Guaynaa, further cementing their role as influential trendsetters in contemporary Latin pop.
