About Kate Nash

Kate Nash is a British singer-songwriter and actress whose career spans nearly two decades marked by bold evolution and artistic versatility. Born and raised in London, Nash first broke through the music scene in 2007 with her infectious single "Foundations," which soared to number one on the UK charts. This early mainstream success established her as a vibrant voice in indie pop, but she soon embraced a rawer, punk-infused sound, forging a fiercely independent path that highlights her fearlessness and originality.

Beyond music, Nash expanded her creative pursuits into acting, notably starring in HBO’s acclaimed wrestling drama *GLOW*, showcasing her talent beyond the recording studio. Her activism also underscores her dedication to championing independent artistry.

In 2023, Nash released her fifth studio album, *9 Sad Symphonies*, through the iconic Kill Rock Stars label, signaling another artistic transformation. The album draws on inspirations from vintage Hollywood musicals and classic cinema, weaving emotional depth and cinematic flair into a sound that seeks beauty amidst turmoil. This work was deeply influenced by her co-creation of the musical *Only Gold* and the global pandemic, which disrupted her *GLOW* commitments and profoundly shaped her creative process.

With a discography and career defined by reinvention and heartfelt expression, Kate Nash remains one of Britain’s most compelling and original voices in contemporary music.
