About Eddie 9V

Eddie 9V stands out as a powerful voice in contemporary Southern rock, blues, and soul, emerging from the vibrant music scene of Atlanta to captivate audiences on international stages. Rooted deeply in the traditions of legends like Howlin' Wolf, Al Green, Freddie King, and The Allman Brothers, he has crafted a distinctive sound that masterfully balances timeless Americana with fresh, modern energy. Known for his fiery guitar riffs and commanding vocals, Eddie 9V’s songwriting resonates with authenticity and sharp storytelling.

His discography highlights a steady evolution, featuring acclaimed albums like "Left My Soul in Memphis," "Little Black Flies," and the chart-reaching "Capricorn" (2022). In November 2024, he released "Saratoga" on the iconic Ruf Records label, an 11-track collection co-written with his brother, fellow Southern musician Lane Kelly. This album marks a notable shift toward Americana-infused narratives, emphasizing tighter songwriting and heartfelt storytelling over extended blues solos.

Continuing his artistic growth, Eddie 9V debuted on Dan Auerbach’s Easy Eye Sound label with "DOWN HERE," a live-recorded session from Nashville that blends blues, rock, country, gospel, and subtle funk influences. Praised by Classic Rock UK as a genuine embodiment of golden-era American roots music, Eddie 9V remains an essential torchbearer, poised for even greater achievements in the rich landscape of American roots music.
