About Supersuckers

Formed in Tucson, Arizona, in 1988, Supersuckers quickly became known for their high-energy fusion of hard rock, punk, and country, delivered with a signature tongue-in-cheek attitude. Founded by high school friends Eddie Spaghetti (bass and vocals), Ron Heathman (guitar), Dan "Thunder" Bolton (guitar), Eric Martin (lead vocals), and initially featuring drummers Dan Siegal and later Dancing Eagle, the band relocated early on to Seattle. There, Spaghetti assumed lead vocal duties, helping to hone their gritty, arena-ready sound that balances massive guitar riffs with punk’s raw edge.

Supersuckers first captured audiences with their debut album "The Smoke of Hell" (1992) under the Sub Pop label, featuring the fan favorite "Coattail Rider." Their follow-up, "La Mano Cornuda" (1994), often regarded as their pinnacle, highlighted punchy rock anthems like "Creepy Jackalope Eye" and "She’s My Bitch." Embracing versatility, the band broadened their musical scope with the country-tinged "Must’ve Been High" (1997), which included a notable collaboration with Willie Nelson. After lineup shifts and navigating a dropped major-label deal, Supersuckers rebounded with hard-hitting records such as "Motherfuckers Be Trippin’" (2003) and the introspective "Get It Together" (2008).

Despite challenges including frontman Eddie Spaghetti’s successful battle against stage 3 throat cancer in 2015, Supersuckers have maintained their irrepressible spirit. Their later work, including the country-tinged "Holdin’ the Bag" (2015) and hard-rock releases "Suck It" (2018) and "Play That Rock N' Roll" (2020), affirms their status as enduring cult heroes who seamlessly blend raw rock bravado with humor and heartfelt authenticity.
