About Kako

Jackson Frayle Toledo Campos, better known as MC Kako, is a dynamic force in Brazil’s urban and funk music scene. Born and raised in Maringá, Paraná, Kako developed a passion for music early on, influenced by his father, who was a rock band drummer. By age 17, he was already writing his own lyrics, laying the groundwork for a flourishing career that has spanned over a decade. Today, Kako boasts over 8 million monthly listeners on Spotify and millions of views on YouTube, reflecting his wide-reaching appeal.

In 2023, Kako expanded his artistic horizons with the concept album *734*, which features an intimate acoustic sound coupled with a striking audiovisual presentation. The album’s standout track, “Ísis,” a heartfelt tribute to his eldest daughter, resonated deeply, surpassing 100 million streams across digital platforms. Later that year, he released *Coisas Que Eu Já Deveria Ter Dito Há Um Tempo*, an album designed as a homage to longtime fans. This project blends upbeat melodies with reflective lyrics, showcasing Kako’s evolving style while honoring his musical roots.

MC Kako’s journey from a young lyricist to one of Brazil’s most compelling voices in urban funk highlights both his versatility and his strong connection with audiences worldwide. His commitment to authentic storytelling and innovative sounds continues to cement his place as a prominent figure in contemporary Brazilian music.
