About Shae Gill

Shae Gill, born on September 2, 1998, in Lahore, Pakistan, has rapidly emerged as one of South Asia’s most compelling new voices in contemporary music. Growing up in a Jat Punjabi Christian family and educated at Forman Christian College, she first captured public attention by sharing soulful covers of classic songs on Instagram starting in 2019. Her distinctive vocal style, blending traditional Punjabi and Urdu melodies with modern sounds, quickly drew widespread acclaim.

Shae Gill’s breakthrough came when renowned Coke Studio producer Xulfi invited her to perform the duet "Pasoori" alongside Ali Sethi for Coke Studio Season 14 (2021). The track became a cultural phenomenon and marked a historic milestone as the first Pakistani song to surpass one billion views on YouTube. This international acclaim solidified her reputation as a fresh and influential artist capable of bridging classical and contemporary music worlds.
