About Angine de Poitrine

Angine de Poitrine is a pioneering experimental rock duo hailing from Quebec, formed in 2019 by the enigmatic musicians Klek and Khn de Poitrine. Renowned for their innovative use of microtonal guitar techniques and pulsating drum grooves, the band crafts hypnotic, dissonant soundscapes that push the boundaries of contemporary progressive rock. Their signature double-neck microtonal guitars intertwine with intricate rhythms, creating a cosmic and surreal auditory experience deeply influenced by Dadaist and surrealist aesthetics.

The duo’s debut album, *Vol. 1* (2024), garnered critical acclaim for its adventurous compositions and immersive energy, cementing Angine de Poitrine as rising figures within the experimental rock scene. Their performances are known for inciting ecstatic movement, transforming familiar sonic elements into something otherworldly yet intensely physical. The band has captivated audiences at prominent venues and festivals, including the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal and France’s prestigious Trans Musicales in Rennes, expanding their influence beyond Canadian borders.

Despite the complexity of their music, Angine de Poitrine embraces rock ’n’ roll’s exuberant spirit, inviting listeners on journeys through asymmetrical sound explorations that blend cosmic wonder with grounded performance intensity. Their fearless approach redefines contemporary rock, making them essential figures for aficionados seeking cutting-edge sonic adventures.
