About Diego Guerrero

Diego Guerrero is a groundbreaking flamenco artist from Huelva whose innovative vision has reshaped the traditional boundaries of the genre. Growing up alongside his mentor and friend El Niño Miguel, he discovered early on how a single guitar could encapsulate the complexity of a full symphony, a revelation that became the foundation of his unique musical language. In 2004, Guerrero made history by founding and arranging for the first Flamenco Big Band, assembling an ensemble of top national and international musicians to bring his ambitious, sophisticated arrangements to life.

His debut album, "Vengo Caminando" (2009), marked a significant milestone in his career, earning a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Flamenco Album. The record’s powerful entry into the market sparked renewed interest in flamenco, blending deep-rooted tradition with bold, contemporary influences. Over the years, Diego Guerrero has continued to push musical limits, skillfully balancing preservation and innovation. His versatility and commitment to authentic expression have established him as a key figure not only among emerging artists but also within the wider flamenco community. Through his work, Guerrero remains a pivotal force, redefining flamenco’s future while honoring its rich heritage.
