About Shybits

Shybits is a vibrant post-punk and wave-pop trio rooted in Berlin’s dynamic indie scene. Comprising friends from three different continents—Liam from the UK on guitar and vocals, Piero from Italy on bass and vocals, and Meg from South Africa on drums—the band fuses diverse cultural influences into a distinctive sound. Their music channels the raw energy of post-punk and the gritty charm of ’90s garage rock, layered with fuzzy, feel-good vibes that captivate listeners. Critics often describe Shybits as a blend of “Beach Boys suntan nostalgia” with rich, Beatlesque vocal harmonies, highlighting their ability to craft infectious melodies that feel both retro and refreshingly modern. This unique combination of rhythmic drive and harmonized vocals sets Shybits apart in the contemporary alternative rock landscape. Drawing on their shared passion for evocative songwriting, the trio has steadily gained recognition across the European indie circuit, appealing to fans seeking a sound that balances nostalgic warmth with vibrant new energy. With their multicultural lineup and compelling fusion of styles, Shybits continues to make a lasting mark as one of Berlin’s most engaging and innovative indie acts.
