About Il Volo

Since their formation in 2010, Italian operatic trio Il Volo—comprising Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto, and Gianluca Ginoble—has become a standout force in the classical crossover genre. Emerging from the reality TV competition "Ti Lascio una Canzone," where producers brought them together to perform the iconic "O Sole Mio," Il Volo quickly captivated audiences with their unique blend of traditional opera, pop, symphonic, and Latin influences.

Their self-titled debut album (2010) achieved platinum status, setting the stage for global success. The trio’s breakthrough hit, "Grande Amore," won the prestigious Sanremo Music Festival in 2015 and earned them third place at the Eurovision Song Contest, alongside the Marcel Bezençon Press Award. Over the years, Il Volo has released a series of acclaimed albums, including "Buon Natale: The Christmas Album" (2013), "Notte Magica: A Tribute to the Three Tenors" (2016) featuring Plácido Domingo, and the Latin-inspired "Ámame" (2018). Collaborations with renowned producers like Humberto Gatica and Emilio Estefan have enriched their sound, demonstrating their versatility as artists.

Marking their decade milestone, Il Volo released "Musica" (2019) and later honored legendary composer Ennio Morricone with "Il Volo Sings Morricone" (2021). Their most recent work, "AD ASTRA" (2024), showcases original material and features Italian rapper Irama, reflecting the group’s evolving artistry while staying true to their operatic roots. With a powerful fusion of genres and a global fanbase, Il Volo continues to redefine the landscape of classical pop music.
