About Naxatras

Naxatras, a pioneering Greek hard psychedelic rock band formed in 2012, has steadily built a reputation for their lush, vintage-inspired sound that vividly channels the spirit of 1970s psychedelia. Their music weaves together fat grooves, thunderous riffs, dreamy melodies, and intricate guitar solos, enriched with influences from prog rock, funk, electronic, and Eastern musical traditions. This distinctive blend has helped them carve a unique space within the contemporary psychedelic rock scene.

Their self-titled debut album, "Naxatras" (2015), recorded entirely with analog equipment and captured live in just one day, quickly became a critical and commercial milestone, solidifying their status as a formidable force. Following this, they released "II" (2016) alongside an EP and single, then "III" (2018), which coincided with a live album showcasing their sold-out show at Athens’ iconic Gagarin 205 venue. In 2022, the band expanded their sonic palette by adding multi-instrumentalist Pantelis Kargas on keyboards for their fourth studio album, "IV." All their releases feature striking artwork by longtime collaborator Chris RW, enhancing their visual identity.

Known for electrifying live performances, Naxatras combines immersive video projections with their dynamic sound, captivating audiences across Europe and Australia. They have graced prestigious festivals such as Desertfest, Ozora, and Dunajam, further cementing their standing as one of the most compelling acts in modern psychedelic rock.
