About MAGIC!

Formed in 2012 in Toronto, MAGIC! is a Canadian band known for its distinctive fusion of reggae, pop, and R&B, inspired by legendary artists such as The Police, Stevie Wonder, and Bob Marley. The original lineup featured Grammy-winning lead vocalist Nasri, guitarist Mark Pelli, bassist Ben Spivak, and drummer Alex Tanas. MAGIC! quickly rose to international fame with their breakthrough single "Rude" (2013), a catchy reggae-infused track that topped the Billboard Hot 100 for six consecutive weeks and claimed the number one spot in 41 countries worldwide. Co-produced and co-written by Nasri and Grammy winner Adam Messinger, "Rude" has amassed over one billion streams on Spotify, solidifying the band’s impact on modern pop culture.

Over the years, MAGIC! has released three studio albums, including *Expectations* (2018), and earned two JUNO Awards along with nominations at the American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, and Teen Choice Awards. The band has toured extensively, both headlining sold-out shows and sharing stages with notable acts like Maroon 5. After a period of hiatus focusing on solo projects and songwriting for major stars such as Justin Bieber, Shakira, and Lana Del Rey, the core trio of Nasri, Pelli, and Spivak reunited in 2021. Since returning, MAGIC! continues to craft uplifting, feel-good anthems that blend infectious melodies with soothing reggae vibes, maintaining their enduring appeal to a global audience and reaffirming their place in contemporary pop music.
