About Diamond Dogs

Diamond Dogs is a Swedish punk and garage rock band that rose from the country’s vibrant alternative scene in the late 1990s. Known for their raw, energetic sound and eclectic instrumentation, the group quickly gained a devoted following across Scandinavia and Northern Europe. The lineup featured lead vocalist Sulo Karlsson, guitarists Anders Lindstrom and Stevie Klasson, bassist Stefan Björk, drummer Jesper Karlsson, keyboardist Henrik Widen, and harpist Matthias Helberg—a combination that added unique textures to their gritty rock & roll style.

Diamond Dogs first made waves with their early EPs "Among the Non-Believers" and "Shortplayer," released through the Feedback Boogie label. These recordings helped the band expand their reach beyond Sweden’s borders and laid the groundwork for their debut album, "As Your Greens Turn Burn" (2000). The album showcased their fiery fusion of punk’s rebellious spirit and garage rock’s raw authenticity. Two years later, they followed up with their sophomore album, "Too Much Is Always Better Than Enough" (2002), which further cemented their status in the underground rock landscape.

Following this, Diamond Dogs embarked on an extensive European tour, thrilling audiences with their high-energy performances and solidifying their reputation as a powerful live act. Their commitment to blending punchy riffs, dynamic vocals, and unconventional instruments has made them a distinctive and enduring presence in the rock scene.
