About Inner Wave

Inner Wave is a Los Angeles-based indie band renowned for crafting a unique blend of psychedelic rock, dream pop, and alternative music, infused with Latin influences that give their sound a fresh, genre-defying edge. Formed in the early 2010s, the band’s core lineup—Pablo Sotelo, Elijah Trujillo, Jean Pierre Narvaez, Luis Portillo, and Chris Runners—quickly attracted attention with their introspective lyrics and atmospheric melodies.

Their breakthrough arrived with the 2017 album *Underwater*, featuring standout tracks like "Eclipse" and "Sun Transmission," which showcased their ability to merge lush production with emotionally resonant themes. Continuing to evolve, Inner Wave released *Apoptosis* (2019), an album marked by textured layers and experimental beats that highlight their maturation from lo-fi beginnings to polished studio craftsmanship. The 2020 EP *Mystery* further expanded their sonic palette, blending hypnotic guitar lines with bilingual vocals that weave English and Spanish seamlessly.

Inner Wave’s dynamic live performances, ranging from intimate venues to major festivals such as Tropicalia and Corona Capital, have earned them a devoted fanbase across California and beyond. Drawing inspiration from artists like Tame Impala and classic Chicano rock, they continue to push creative boundaries, solidifying their place as a vital force in contemporary indie music.
