About Guy Gerber

Guy Gerber, born in 1974, is an Israeli DJ and producer celebrated for his unique fusion of melancholy and euphoria in electronic music. Drawing early inspiration from post-punk icons like Joy Division and shoegaze pioneers My Bloody Valentine, Gerber weaves introspective, moody textures into hypnotic live sets and contemplative productions. This stylistic blend has earned him consistent recognition as one of the world’s top live performers, securing a place in the top 10 of the Resident Advisor polls for three consecutive years.

Beyond his captivating music, Gerber is widely known for founding RUMORS in 2014—a free-spirited, clandestine beach party on Ibiza that pays homage to the island’s original laid-back vibe while challenging traditional clubbing norms. What began as a local celebration has since grown into an international movement, with RUMORS events spreading to major cultural hubs such as Art Basel Miami, BPM Mexico, Shoreditch in London, New York, Mykonos, Sardinia, Dubai, and Israel.

Guy Gerber’s career stands out for its emotional depth and boundary-pushing creativity. His ability to craft resonant soundscapes and curate immersive experiences cements his reputation as a visionary figure in the electronic music scene, continually evolving while honoring his rich musical roots.
