About Die Wilde Jagd

Die Wilde Jagd is the evocative music project of German producer and songwriter Sebastian Lee Philipp, renowned for his unique blend of minimalist electronic arrangements and dark, atmospheric soundscapes. Since its inception, the project has carved a distinctive niche by fusing hypnotic psychedelic minimalism with richly emotional German lyrics, exploring themes of romance, melancholy, intensity, and ecstasy through immersive and dramatic compositions.

Die Wilde Jagd first attracted attention with its self-titled debut album, but it was the 2018 release "Uhrwald Orange" that marked a breakthrough. This album’s standout single, "2000 Elefanten," gained widespread radio airplay and became a favorite among DJs, propelling the project onto the international stage. After touring extensively across more than twenty countries, Sebastian Lee Philipp continued to refine his sound with the third album, "Haut" (2020), which featured the track "Himmelfahrten," another song that resonated deeply with radio audiences.

In 2021, Die Wilde Jagd expanded its artistic reach by premiering the commissioned piece "Atem" at the prestigious Roadburn Festival in Tilburg, reflecting its commitment to pushing the boundaries of atmospheric electronic music. This work was later released in 2022. The project’s latest album, "ophio" (2023), further showcases Philipp's evolving artistry, combining minimalism with emotional depth and solidifying Die Wilde Jagd's reputation as a compelling and innovative force within the international electronic music scene.
