About Gregg Arthur

Gregg Arthur is a distinguished Australian singer and songwriter from Sydney, celebrated for his smooth jazz vocals and masterful interpretations of the Great American Songbook. Garnering acclaim from jazz icon Tony Bennett—who praised his phrasing as "perfect" and became an avid fan—Arthur has established himself as one of Australia’s finest male jazz vocalists since Vince Jones. Critics like Eric Myers of The Weekend Australian echo this sentiment, recognizing Arthur’s exquisite blend of traditional jazz technique with a contemporary sensibility.

Throughout his international career, Gregg Arthur has captivated audiences by breathing new life into timeless jazz standards while embracing what he describes as “new standards”—a repertoire that includes selected pop and smooth jazz classics that have earned modern classic status. His refined vocal delivery and deep emotional connection allow him to bridge the old and new, preserving the essence of jazz while pushing its boundaries. Rooted firmly in jazz tradition, Arthur’s versatile style and thoughtful interpretations have earned him a respected place among Australia's premier vocal storytellers. Through his recordings and live performances, Gregg Arthur continues to honor the legacy of classic jazz and make it accessible to new generations of listeners worldwide.
