About Salabanzi

Salabanzi is a Barcelona-based music project led by Bastien Salabanzi, an acclaimed professional skateboarder turned passionate blues musician. Drawing deeply from his skate culture roots, Salabanzi creates a unique and genre-blurring sound that fuses blues, jazz, rock, soul, trap, and rap. Collaborating closely with multi-instrumentalist and producer Stéphane Jaïs, the project crafts authentic, emotionally charged songs that delve into real-life experiences with raw honesty.

Their debut single, "The Voices in My Head," offers a haunting portrayal of anxiety, capturing the restless mind moments before sleep. The track features a hypnotic guitar pulse resembling a ticking clock, layered with plaintive harmonica lines and rich, dissonant harmonies that blur the line between consciousness and dreams. This evocative soundscape is matched by warm, resonant vocals that guide listeners through an uneasy yet soothing journey.

Promising a fresh presence on the contemporary music scene, Salabanzi is set to release its first EP in 2026.
