About Boji

Boji is a dynamic Franco-Congolese singer-songwriter whose musical roots extend deeply into his childhood. Raised in a culture that values eloquence, he developed a natural talent for words through poetry and storytelling before diving into rap with childhood friends in 2011. His artistic foundation was shaped at the CRB collective within Reims’ MJC Croix-Rouge, where veteran group Black Industrie mentored him. Simultaneously, his participation in a parish choir refined his vocal abilities and emotional expression, blending a robust stage presence with melodic sensitivity.

Boji’s sound is a distinctive fusion of pop, afro, rock, and R&B, seamlessly combining urban energy with Afro-fusion grooves. Drawing inspiration from influential artists such as Maître Gims, Stromae, Singuila, Mali Music, and Youssoupha, his lyrics explore universal themes including love, identity, freedom, and the search for meaning, often reflecting personal ambitions and everyday life.

Noteworthy singles like "Même état," "Sommet," and "Automatique" showcase his evolving artistry, marked by the integration of live instrumentation alongside his band, the Boji Family. Beyond performance, Boji has expanded into artistic direction, championing a vision of music without borders—honest, vibrant, and profoundly human. His work continuously pushes creative boundaries, establishing him as a compelling voice in contemporary Afro-European music scenes.
