About Richard Walters

Richard Walters is a critically acclaimed UK singer-songwriter and Grammy-nominated composer, born in Oxford in 1982. Renowned for his evocative and emotionally resonant songwriting, Walters has crafted a distinctive sound that bridges intimate folk-pop with rich, genre-crossing collaborations. His music has reached global audiences through prominent placements on television series such as Grey’s Anatomy, After Life, and CSI: Miami.

Throughout his career, Walters has worked alongside an impressive range of artists spanning various musical styles. These collaborations include Grammy winner Joe Henry, British icon Alison Moyet, Finnish symphonic metal band Apocalyptica, and American alt-rock group Semisonic. He has also engaged with electronic music pioneers like Deadmau5, Kaskade, and Sultan + Shepard. Notably, Walters teamed up with UK Poet Laureate Simon Armitage in the band LYR, as well as Oscar-nominated actress and singer Florence Pugh. These diverse partnerships have helped him amass over 200 million streams worldwide.

In addition to his solo work, Walters has contributed to acclaimed projects such as the award-winning "Firm as a Rock" (2022) for the Durham Brass Festival and the environmentally inspired "Blossomise" for The National Trust.
