About Gilla Band

Gilla Band is a pioneering noise rock group from Dublin, Ireland, formed in 2011. Renowned for their confrontational and experimental sound, they have carved out a distinctive space in both the Irish and international indie rock scenes. Their music blends abrasive textures, hypnotic rhythms, and raw intensity, marked by a fearless exploration of dissonance and unconventional song structures. This bold approach has earned them critical acclaim and a devoted following, particularly among fans of noise rock and avant-garde music.

Signed to the respected Rough Trade Records, Gilla Band has consistently pushed the boundaries of contemporary rock through a series of compelling albums and electrifying live performances. Their work captures the spirit of Dublin’s vibrant music community while standing out for its originality and sonic innovation. Over the 2010s and into the 2020s, the band has become synonymous with artistic integrity and sonic experimentation, reaffirming their status as one of Ireland’s most forward-thinking and influential musical acts. With each release, Gilla Band continues to challenge listeners and redefine the possibilities of modern indie and noise rock.
