About Pacificaze

Pacificaze is an evocative indie rock trio helmed by frontman Jack Bodhi, whose profound connection to the sea inspires the band’s expansive and emotive sound. Rooted in the symbolism of the ocean—mystery, freedom, and untamed adventure—Pacificaze crafts music that navigates life’s highs and lows with introspective lyrics and richly textured instrumentation. Joining Bodhi are bassist Jon Lawton, formerly of Sami Yusuf, and drummer Peter Roper from Xam Volo, together blending influences ranging from sun-soaked 1960s surf rock and analog 1970s psychedelia to modern shoegaze and contemporary indie.

Their sonic signature features reverb-laden guitars and layered vocal harmonies that evoke both warmth and wistfulness, creating a dreamy yet driving atmosphere. The band’s 2023 single, “Short Life,” exemplifies this ethos by exploring themes of longing, joy, and melancholy through immersive production and intricate arrangements, capturing the fleeting beauty of existence.

Pacificaze quickly garnered attention as Absolute Radio’s Self Releasing Artist of the Month and earned a standout feature on BBC Introducing. Their debut at the prestigious Glastonbury Festival further cemented their status as a compelling act in today’s indie music landscape. Through their genre-blurring sound and heartfelt storytelling, Pacificaze continues to carve out a distinct space—a musical voyage that invites listeners to embrace freedom and the unknown horizons ahead.
