About Turnstile

Turnstile is a Baltimore-based hardcore punk band formed in 2010, featuring Brendan Yates (vocals), Franz Lyons (bass and vocals), Pat McCrory (guitar), and Daniel Fang (drums). Known for their dynamic fusion of youthful energy and progressive sound, Turnstile has redefined the boundaries of hardcore by blending accessibility with raw intensity. Their breakthrough came with the 2015 album "Nonstop Feeling," which established their reputation for pushing the genre forward while maintaining its passionate core.

The band’s 2018 major-label debut, "Time & Space," produced by Will Yip and released through Roadrunner Records, earned critical acclaim from notable outlets such as The New Yorker, The New York Times, Rolling Stone, and NPR. GQ heralded it as one of the defining albums of the 2010s, cementing Turnstile’s influence on contemporary punk music. Continuing their upward trajectory, Turnstile’s 2021 release "Glow On," co-produced by frontman Yates and Mike Elizondo, received widespread praise, securing three GRAMMY nominations and winning accolades from Pitchfork, Billboard, and Stereogum. Critics lauded the album for its infectious grooves, innovative riffs, and emotional depth, with Pitchfork awarding it “Best New Music.”

Through relentless innovation and a barrier-breaking philosophy, Turnstile continues to expand hardcore punk’s horizons, gaining a wider audience while staying true to the genre’s original spirit.
