About Matthias Tanzmann

Matthias Tanzmann, born in 1977, has been a driving force in house and techno music for over two decades. Hailing from Germany, he rose to prominence as a resident DJ with the iconic Circoloco crew at Ibiza’s legendary DC10 club, where his dynamic and forward-thinking sets have captivated a dedicated global audience. Tanzmann is also the founder of the influential Moon Harbour label, which serves as a platform for cutting-edge electronic sounds and has helped shape the contemporary dance music landscape.

Throughout his career, Matthias Tanzmann has mastered a distinctive blend of sleek, progressive house and techno, releasing acclaimed productions on respected labels such as Dirtybird and Saved. His creative vision extends beyond solo work through collaboration. He is a key member of the acclaimed DJ trio Better Lost Than Stupid, alongside Martin Buttrich and Davide Squillace. Their debut album, "Wild Slide" (2019), was met with critical praise, showcasing their combined talents. That same year, Tanzmann unveiled his autobiographical solo album "Round and Round" (2019), featuring collaborations with notable artists like Steve Bug and Mathias Kaden.

Despite his long-standing presence since the late 1990s, Matthias Tanzmann remains a vital and innovative figure in electronic music, continuously pushing boundaries and leaving an indelible mark on the global house and techno scenes.
