About Taburete

Taburete is a prominent Spanish pop-rock band that emerged in 2014 when vocalist Willy Bárcenas and guitarist Antón Carreño first connected in Madrid, sharing songs that soon evolved into a formal musical project. The band’s name was spontaneously chosen to accompany their debut concert, marking the start of their journey. Their self-released debut album, "Tres tequilas" (2015), laid the groundwork for their initial fan base, but it was their sophomore effort, "Dr. Charas" (2016), that propelled them to nationwide fame. This breakthrough album led to sold-out performances at major venues such as Madrid’s WiZink Center and Barcelona’s Sant Jordi Club, establishing Taburete as a rising force in Spain’s music scene.

The band’s artistic growth continued with "Madame Ayahuasca" (2018), earning them a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Pop/Rock Album, a testament to their evolving sound and critical acclaim. In January 2021, Taburete released "La Broma Infinita," which highlighted a mature, refined style while retaining their signature charm. Their momentum carried on into 2022 with the single "Roto y elegante," a preview of their fifth album, "Matadero 5," which delves deeply into Willy Bárcenas's personal experiences and artistic development.

Today, Taburete stands out as one of contemporary Spain’s most influential pop-rock acts, seamlessly blending catchy melodies with introspective lyrics, driven by the dynamic partnership between Bárcenas and Carreño.
