About Wideboys

Wideboys are an influential English electronic dance duo from Portsmouth, best known for their pioneering contributions to the U.K. garage scene since their formation in 1996. The duo consists of Jim Sullivan, who brought extensive production expertise, and Eddie Craig, whose background in the record store world complemented their creative synergy. They made their official debut with the single "All I Wanna Do" (1998) released on Union Jack Records, quickly following up with the notable track "Stand and Deliver" (1999). Over the next decade, Wideboys built a prolific catalog of 12" singles and two well-received double-LP albums, *Pirate Selectas* (2005, 2006), released through Garage Jams.

While their original productions garnered attention, Wideboys truly carved out their legacy through remixing. Their 1998 remix of Once Waz Nice’s "What Could I Do" marked their remix debut, but it was their transformative reworks of Artful Dodger’s hits "Re-Rewind" and "Woman Trouble" featuring Craig David (both 2000) that elevated them to international recognition. This breakthrough led to remix commissions for a host of A-list artists, including Rihanna, Girls Aloud, and the Pussycat Dolls. Throughout the late 2000s, Wideboys became one of the most sought-after remix teams worldwide, contributing to numerous pop singles annually. Their longstanding collaboration with Ministry of Sound further amplified their influence, especially through the popular *Addicted to Bass* DJ-mix series starting in 2009. Today, Wideboys remain an enduring force in electronic dance music, celebrated for bridging garage sensibilities with mainstream appeal.
