About Gloria de Oliveira

Berlin-based German-Brazilian artist Gloria de Oliveira is renowned for her richly atmospheric music and mesmerizing visual art. She began her musical journey in 2018 with the EP "Lua Azul," created alongside her synth-pop/darkwave project lovespells. Building on this foundation, she released two evocative EPs in 2019, "La Rose de Fer" and "Lèvres de Sang," both inspired by classic vampire films of Jean Rollin and issued as limited-edition cassettes. Gloria’s self-produced debut album, "Fascination" (2020), followed, showcasing collaborations and remixes by acclaimed artists such as Gudrun Gut, Fragrance, and Box And The Twins, and cementing her presence in the experimental music scene.

In 2022, Gloria de Oliveira delivered "Oceans of Time," a compelling collaboration with Dean Hurley, well-known for his work with David Lynch. This release on Sacred Bones Records further elevated her profile, leading to standout live performances at notable festivals like SXSW, Levitation, and Berlin’s Synästhesie Festival, where she shared the stage with acts like Slowdive and Tricky. Beyond music, Gloria has also composed theatrical scores and performed at fashion events, highlighting her multidisciplinary talents.

Her forthcoming third album, "The Lying Swans," is anticipated in October 2026. Produced by Randall Dunn and recorded across Berlin, Iceland, and New York City, the album promises to push her sonic boundaries even further. Gloria de Oliveira remains a dynamic force at the forefront of modern experimental music, continually evolving her distinctive blend of sound and visuals.
